About This Tour
Meru National Park is a forest reserve located 350km from Nairobi, east of Meru town. It is one of Kenya's lesser known parks, covering an area of 87 044 hectares. Kenya's location on the equator gives it a tropical climate and a lot of summer rainfall, which encourages the growth of vegetation. This vegetation provides habitat to wide range of animals including elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, black rhino and hippo. Buffalo, Oryx, Oribis, zebra, giraffe, hartebeest, impala, kudu, mongoose, warthog, dik dik, civet, caracal, wild dog, baboons, hyena and vervet monkeys can also be spotted. Meru National Park is also to home to an abundance of birdlife that includes Pel's fishing owl, Peter's fin foot which inhabits the Murera and Ura Rivers.

Your Day-by-Day Journey
Day 1: Nairobi – Meru National Park
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Travel through Kenya's scenic central highlands to Meru National Park, arriving in time for lunch and check-in at your safari lodge or camp.
In the afternoon, enjoy your first exciting game drive, searching for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of antelope species. Return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Meru National Park
After breakfast, spend the day exploring the diverse landscapes of Meru National Park, from open savannah and riverine forests to swamps and rolling grasslands. Morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five, over 400 bird species, and other incredible wildlife.
Optional excursions include visits to the Meru Rhino Sanctuary, Elsa's Grave, and Kora National Reserve, offering unique insights into Kenya's wildlife conservation history.
Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Discover More of Meru National Park
Enjoy another full day of wildlife viewing with morning and afternoon game drives. Explore different sections of the park while searching for elusive predators, large elephant herds, hippos, crocodiles, and an incredible variety of birdlife.

Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Meru National Park – Nairobi
Start your final day with an optional early morning game drive, when wildlife is most active. Return to the lodge for breakfast before checking out and beginning your journey back to Nairobi.
