Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai mara
At 8 o’clock you will be picked up from your hotel within the city center/Wetlands and commence the drive to Maasai Mara via the great rift valley view point where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the rift valley. You will arrive in time for lunch. Check in and have lunch. At 4:00 pm depart for a game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve which ends at 6:00pm. Return back to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner ending with good time for resting at a camp.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara Reserve
Have breakfast at 6:30 am and at 7am, leave for a full day game viewing in the park. On this day, spend the full day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the big five, hippos and Nile crocodile. Thereafter, go for picnic lunch in park under a croton tree shade overlooking the vast landscape of the park.

It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha
Take your breakfast,check out and commence to Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch at the hotel.
In the evening, go for a walk along the lake for as well as an hour boat ride for bird watching and hippo viewing.

Lake Naivasha being a fresh water lake on the Rift floor is home to an incredible variety of species. Over 450 species have been recorded here.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha to Lake Bogoria
After breakfast, drive to Lake Bogoria. Arrive in time for lunch.
Later go to the hot springs and geysers with a guided walk along the lake for bird viewing. Spot birds off all kinds, over 450 species. Later, drive to lodge.


Day 5: Lake Baringo
Travel to Lake Baringo, a freshwater lake with a diverse array of bird species.
Look for species like the Hemprich's Hornbill, the White-faced Scops Owl, and the Bristle-crowned Starling.
Consider a boat trip on the lake for a unique birdwatching perspective.
Overnight stay at a lodge or camp near the lake.

Day 6: Samburu National Reserve
Travel to Samburu National Reserve, a region known for its diverse wildlife and birdlife.
Look for species like the Gurney's Wheatear, the Lappet-faced Owl, and the Red-faced Cuckoo.
Consider a game drive in the reserve to spot other wildlife, such as the Grevy's Zebra and the African Elephant.
Overnight stay at a lodge or camp near the reserve.

Day 7: Departure
Depart from Nairobi, taking with you the memories of your birdwatching safari.
