4 Days Laikipia & Ol Pejeta Conservancy Safari

Day 1: Nairobi to Ol Pejeta

Your adventure begins with a 7:30 AM pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport. Depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a 3.5 to 4-hour drive through the scenic landscapes of Central Kenya. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Mount Kenya along the way.

Arrive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy before noon, check into your lodge or camp, and enjoy a delicious hot lunch. After a brief rest, embark on an afternoon game drive, exploring the renowned wildlife sanctuary that is home to the Big Five, including the largest population of black rhinos in East Africa. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffaloes, lions, and the rare northern white rhinos.

Return to the lodge/camp in the evening, freshen up, and relish a freshly prepared dinner.

Day 2: Full-Day Exploration of Ol Pejeta

Today’s itinerary is flexible and can be customized with your guide. You have two options:

Option 1: Full-Day Game Drive

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and depart at 9:00 AM for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch.

Explore different sections of the conservancy, including the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary and the Endangered Species Enclosure, home to the last two remaining northern white rhinos.

Stop at a scenic picnic spot for lunch, then continue your game drive until 6:00 PM before returning to your lodge.

Option 2: Early Morning & Afternoon Game Drives

Depart at 6:00 AM for an early morning game drive, the best time to witness predators hunting.

Return to your accommodation for a hearty breakfast and some relaxation.

After lunch, set off for an afternoon game drive with packed lunch. Enjoy the rich biodiversity of Ol Pejeta, from plains game to majestic big cats.

Return to the lodge by 6:00 PM for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Ol Pejeta – More Wildlife Viewing

Another exciting day to immerse yourself in Ol Pejeta’s wilderness! Customize your experience with either:

A full-day game drive with a picnic lunch, covering different areas of the conservancy.

A morning drive, followed by a visit to conservation centers such as the Rhino Memorial Site and the anti-poaching dog unit.

Relax at your lodge in between short game drives and enjoy the stunning views of the conservancy.

Evening at leisure, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Ol Pejeta to Nairobi
After an early breakfast, check out and depart for a morning game drive, enjoying the last moments of wildlife spotting. With packed lunch, continue exploring the conservancy until around 1:00 PM.

Afterwards, begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving at your hotel or airport by 4:00 PM, marking the end of your unforgettable Ol Pejeta safari experience.
